Camelback Clean-Up Recap – April 20

  • Arcadia Camelback Mountain Neighborhood Association 4340 E. Indian School Rd., Box #21 - 293 Phoenix, AZ 85018 (map)

As part of the Arcadia Camelback Mountain Neighborhood Association’s ongoing commitment to our community, we host a bi-annual Adopt-A-Street Cleanup along Camelback Road, from 44th to 64th Street.

Our most recent clean-up took place on April 12th, 2025, and it was another great success! We had approximately 14 volunteers (final count pending), all coming together early on a Saturday morning to make a visible impact.

One volunteer reported finding a 30-pound steel pulley and even a coyote carcass—just a few of the more unusual items collected among the usual litter. Volunteers also gathered multiple bags of trash along the route, helping restore the clean and scenic appearance of this major stretch of Camelback Road.

A special thanks goes to Scott, who brought his wife, son, and his son’s girlfriend, along with a large pickup truck loaded with essential supplies—gloves, high-visibility vests, and trash grabbers. He also helped transport the filled bags for proper disposal.

We’re incredibly grateful to all who participated and are proud of the teamwork and community spirit that define these events.

Next Clean-Up: November 2025
Stay tuned for the confirmed date! Volunteers will again gather in the Shemer Art Center parking lot, where parking is available.

Let’s keep up the momentum and make the next event even better!
